The Franklin Library, active from the 1970s to 2000, was a division of The Franklin Mint, renowned for its fine collector editions with beautiful leather bindings in full leather, leatherette, and quarter-bound styles.
Easton Press, founded in 1972 in Norwalk, Connecticut, specializes in high-quality, collectible leather-bound books featuring classic literature and historical works, known for premium leather bindings, 22kt gold accents, acid-neutral paper, and gilded edges.
The International Collectors Library, published by Doubleday from the 1940s to the 1980s, offered book club editions with faux leather covers, gold embellishments, gilt edges, and satin ribbons.
